Just started building ours, father/son project. What type of paint (single stage, clearcoat, enamel, oil based, etc ) did you use and where did you get it? You did great job….you should be proud.

Try eBay, Craigslist or AllofCraigs.com

Try your local auto parts store with a paint department. The correct color is Sand Beige Poly. Its a non-gloss paint.. so single stage with no clearcoat would work well. Good luck on your Jeep!

hey i’m so glad i found your website, i’m currently an active duty service member serving in Hawaii with the United States Army. I’m contacting this site cause I finally bought a 97 tj and I want to make it into a Jurassic Park jeep. Know I know the “real” model jeep which was used was a YJ, but the 97 tj was the last year jeep my Dad owned before he pasted away and why turn it into the Jurassic Park jeep cause that as my Dads and I’s favorite movie. So i was wondering if there was anyone that would be willing to give me tips, advice, and product knowledge of what I need to turn my tj into a Jurassic Park jeep.

The color is “Spice”.

Hi,
I’m curious as to what dimensions are used for the decals and striping. I could eyeball it and come up with some rough estimate, but if there is a more accurate measurement to follow, I’d prefer that.
Thanks!

This site is fantastic! Why did I not know about this before?
Do you know if anyone has tried this on a JK? I know it wouldn’t look quite, but I’m in MN and anything older than about 5 models up here is probably rusted through…. :-/

Hey, just wondering what type of rims were used for your replica? I can’t seem to find them anywhere and I wasn’t sure what the name of them was.
Thank you in advance.
